We'll be planting a variety of flowers and vegetables tomorrow, Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. at The People's Garden at 86 Garside Street, Newark, NJ 07104 located between Orange Street and Park Avenue, but closer to Park Avenue. You're more than welcome to join us and learn how you can create a garden of your own or be a part of the many projects we have planned.
On Saturday, April 20, 2013, starting at 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the 3BEEZ Program (serving youth throughout East Orange, Newark, and Irvington) will be joining the Newark Science and Sustainability [SAS] working group for a day of urban farming. We'll need volunteers to assist with the ongoing cultivation of an urban farm located at 112-114 South 8th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, where a series of outdoor education programs geared towards horticulture will be conducted.
