To Councilman Anibal Ramos, Jr.,
I am a lifetime New Jersey resident whose connection to the North Ward stems from my father and mother, William and Carmella Brown.
I know this is short notice, but in wake of the Hurricane Sandy disaster, and as organizer for Kpop Fans for Hurricane Sandy Relief, we are collecting winter clothing and blankets from concert goers at the Prudential Center on Friday, November 9, 2012. This sold out event has drawn in audience members worldwide. Participants in this clothing drive were asked to pack an additional winter clothing item prior to traveling. Social media and press releases were distributed. The contributions from this effort would directly benefit residents of Newark’s North Ward
To help make sure that the items collected be delivered to residents of the North Ward, Newark Organizer Tobias A. Fox (646-399-0337) has agreed to assist us. Our only issue is obtaining permission from the City to collect these items.
Please review the attached press release and we hope that your office can help make this a meaningful and successful event.
Sincerely,
