Please respond quickly. We don't have much time! Please join me on Saturday, November 17, 2012 for an awesome community event. I could really use your support. Let's take some of our discussions offline and demonstrate it to local residents in Newark, NJ. Please review the attached flyer and read the email below.
You can also bring items to sell.
How can we contribute:I will bring The People's Garden banner to illustrate our community garden efforts. Given the weather is not below 50, I will also ride my bike and see if
Dina can join me with her bike with carts attached to demonstrate how we can use bikes as a means of local transportation, exercise, and escape the high cost of gas.
Dina, you can also create a few recycled notebooks or other creative things with recycled material.
Damian, can you provide a solar demonstration. Please review the attached flyer. This could be a really good opportunity for you and GridLink Systems. You can demonstrate your power bike, your solar inventions, and instead of powering up a blender, if you like, I can bring my juicer and we can make fresh juice for those who participate :-) Let me know if this can work for you.
Peace Carla, will
Frank be available on this day. For those who don't know, Frank is an amazing farmer and carpenter. The People's Garden recently partnered with Carla and Frank and we are undergoing some exciting projects together. I'm thinking Frank, with me as his assistant, can create something, not sure what yet, possibly using scrap wood or used lumber.
Ellen, would you be able to make it down on this day. We can roll out some carpet and conduct a Yoga session. I know
Sabedo already have commitments on Saturdays. And I'm sure he wouldn't be able to make it before 4pm, which is when this event ends. :-( Would
Lily be able to come up with you if you're able to come?
Peace Monica, would you be able to make it? Maybe we can create a game called "Name that Plant". We can have plant giveaways to those who can come close to or correctly name certain plants. I can bring cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, basil, and celery.
Marieliz is a part of the Farmer's Market working group and will probably be informing people about nutrition and eating healthier.
Cass stated that she would like to give a compost demonstration for youth and sell some produce.
We can collectively inform people the importance of growing food using soil and how to do this as organically as possible. We can also discuss methods of hydroponic and aquaponics. Of course, I'll be willing people in and blasting this event any and everywhere I can.

Hey Tobias,
How are you doing? I feel like it's been forever since we've seen each other. I just wanted to inform you about the planning sessions that we have been having with the Farmer's Market Working Group. As was mentioned at our report back we were planning to host an event on November 17. I attached a flyer for the event to this e-mail for your reference.
I also mentioned that Latifah asked me to ask you if you would like to share information, whether it's about the importance of bees, your sustainability working group or whatever else you would like to share/present to the community.
If so, let me know if you would like me to reserve a table for you.
Talk to you soon, Tobias!
Renee
