Julie mentioned Starfall as a website to be used to differentiate
readiness. I depend on Starfall in my Kindergarten and Grade 1 ICT
Classes. For Kindergarten, I use the resource the gauge student's
skills in letter and word recognition.I also use the site to introduce
students to the correct use of the mouse and correct posture while
sitting at the computer.
Erika directed me to the scholastic website as a resource for
differentiating by learning profile. On this website, I found Math
Maven Mysteries which would enable me to differentiate by interest.
These math mysteries are given in text, an audio version is also
available and with the use of the Jigsaw Group Strategy, I can
envision my math classes becoming more interactive, engaging and
interesting.
