--- Australia can't afford refusing foreign IT-specialists

The Australian Monash University has published the results of its
research of specialists training for IT-industry. The results are as
follows: the number of the Australians enrolled for higher educational
courses has reduced to a minimum of 15 year prescription. It's
happening at the background of a sharp (by 80%) growth of foreign
students' number who received a residence permission in Australia, at
that 30% of Australian graduates can't find a permanent job.
The immigration department under pressure of the local lobby has
removed IT-specialties out of the list of important professions in the
country (Migration Occupations in Demand List, MODL), however now some
specialties are included in the list again basing on the employment
department data. The report of Organization of Economic Cooperation
and Development (OECD) shows that Australia has become the only
country that has been cutting down the state financing of higher
education since 1995. Now laborites are blaming the existing
Government that exactly that fact makes higher institutions enroll for
IT specialties more foreign students who give the full payment for
study promising to give residency in the country to the graduates.

Zealand" newsletter.)

--- About summer language courses for children and teenagers

"Many summer language schools run out of places in February-beginning
of March", says an article about English, French, German and Spanish
summer courses for children and teenagers, published on the Parta
site. Therefore parents planning to send their child abroad in summer
should think about the program as early as now. The author offers
parents to ask themselves a question what their child needs a foreign
language for. Actually the article consists of possible variants for
the question and examples of schools where the target set could be
realized. Information on visa registering terms in various countries
and possible problems finishes the material. By the way, keep in mind
that "places are bought up in the most expensive and the most
democratic in price centers".

Note that last year the first mention about necessity to hurry up with
reservation in the elite summer language camps could have been heard
in March - it was the Kanzler company who first spoke about it. The
article on the Parta site could have been the first sign of the
campaign promoting the summer 2006 programs, if it wasn't the
Intellect Tour agency whose site as far back as September 2005 [1]
published an announcement about beginning reserving places for the
vacation programs in the elite schools of the UK.

then a separate flat for every family by 2000, Australia has heard
