A next article appeared on the "Parta" website about learning hotel
management, that time - of Australia. "Details of hotel management can
be learnt in Australia both in specialized schools and in
universities". As an example, the author of the article takes
Australian International
Hotel School, as well as several educational institutions where one can
get a bachelor's or master's degree in the field of hotel management.
An article on hotel management studying in Canada and the Netherlands

--- New Zealand lost near 8,500 foreign students

According to the data of the New Zealand immigration service annual
report, 77,600 foreign students came to study in the country in the
school year of 2004/2005, which is almost by 11% less than last year.
At that, a number of students from the largest supplier - China - is
reduced by 16%. About a quarter of foreign students are planning to
apply later for a permanent residence. (According to the materials of
the "eduABROAD - education in Australia and New Zealand" newsletter.)

--- About business English courses

"Business English is necessary for everyone who comes to the
international market despite the field of his activity", believes an
author of the article "English for a profi" published in the "Cariera"
February issue. The material dwells upon what the language courses in
Russia and abroad could offer to those who wish to master business
vocabulary, what is included into the basic course program, what
methods are used in the field. According to the data of the educational
agencies, the orders for the business English courses make up 17-20%
from the total number of applications for the educational programs
abroad. The author of the article fixes attention on the fact that
apart from dipping into the language environment, studying abroad gives
an advantage: speaking with foreign colleagues. After all, the groups
are gathered at the interests: lawyers are studying legal vocabulary,
doctors - medical vocabulary, etc. By the way, "possibilities to talk
to foreign colleagues form "geography of preferences" of students": in
the UK specialists in banking prefer to study in London City, while oil
industry workers will choose courses in Dundy and Aberdin (Scotland).

--- All about Financial Times - Global MBA rankings 2006

On the Begin.ru Internet Web site one can find a selection of materials
devoted to the annual business schools ranking made by Financial Times
- Global MBA rankings 2006. The major ranking [1] presents 100 schools.
First three positions are made up by Wharton, Harvard and Stanford.
These three positions will tell a lot to those who are at least a bit
interested in business education: this year the list contains Wharton
and Harvard that refused in an emphatic manner [2] to participate in
any rankings a few years ago. Why the representatives of many business
schools criticize the ranking system, one can read in the article
"Differences among rankings are more and more visible" [3]. By the way,
this year Financial Times tried to reach a global consensus concerning
rankings publishing its second compiled "the ranking of rankings" [4]
where the data of five largest world business schools ranking
(BusinessWeek, Economist Intelligence Unit, Financial Times, Forbes and
Wall Street Journal) were took into consideration. As for FT Global MBA
rankings 2006, there are a few changes in the new table comparing to
the last year table, about what you can read in the article "How FT
Full-Time MBA ranking 2006 have been composing". And finally, besides
general results, Financial Times shows results of its own researches as
a mini-ranking [6] in categories: "Best programs in financing",
"Graduates' salary", "International mobility", etc.
