Hi,

I am coming to the Edison on 12/17 for The Nutcracker. I wanted to
know if weekend parking rules are in effect during that time? Or, if
I need to follow normal weekday parking restrictions?

Additionally, can you recommend a few restaurants close to the
University for a pre-dinner meal? I will be bringing my seven year
old niece, and although a pretty adventurous eater and frequent diner
to restaurants (her father works in the F&B industry), something that
would be appropriate for a seven year old would be nice.

I did attend college in St. Louis ten years ago, although not Wash. U,
so I have some familiarity with the area.

Thank you.

Melanie,
I recommend you park in the Danforth garage just west of Mallinckrodt
Center.
Danforth Garage is under the new student center and has three levels
of parking.
It is a paid lot, but it is secure and conveniently located next door.
There is a fair bit of parking on the surface lots and I believe the
meters in front of Mallinckrodt/Edison are monitored until 7pm, at
which point those spaces are available and free.

As for places to eat this week, I would recommend stopping in the Loop
on Delmar, just a few blocks north of the campus.
They have a St. Louis Bread Company, a Qdoba, and a wide range of
other restaurants with a wide range of standard and ethnic fare.
