Job Title:  Medical Director, Muscat branch

Ehrlich Laboratory is in the process of establishing a clinic + diagnostic centre in Muscat (Oman) and requires a full time medical director to oversee the operations. The Medical Director will be responsible for the successful operation of the Muscat branch, which includes clinical as well as operational and marketing supervision and as such should have strong leadership capabilities.

About company: Ehrlich Laboratory is the oldest private diagnostic laboratory in India, established in 1938.  The lab represents superlative quality and cutting edge technology.  The services extend from basic lab work to comprehensive diagnostics (including ECG, XRay, Ultrasound, Treadmill etc.), clinical research, pharmaco diagnostics, referral centre, training and placement.  The lab is now in growth mode, both in terms of services as well as footprint. The lab handles about 10,000 patients per month and is looking to double volumes over the next couple of years.

Job Description:

1. Clinical: Full time medical officer for health check up, medical reports etc.
2. Operations:  Ensures quality of service by establishing accountability for departments of the lab including clinical departments, marketing, housekeeping, reception and reports delivery etc.  
3. Administration: Supervise a team of about 10 individuals (medical technologists, front office, customer service etc) to ensure smooth day to day functioning.

Qualification

MBBS + 6 years experience

MD + 2 years experience

Preferred Work Experience

Managerial responsibility at clinic/ hospital

Occupational/ community health

Other medical specialities such as Diabetes, Internal Medicine, Clinical Pathology, etc

Added advantage if spouse is also a physician willing to work at the clinic

Compensation:
Base Pay: Rs. 10 lakhs p.a

+ Private practice consultation (this could be 30 – 100% of base pay depending on speciality)

+ Performance based bonus on achieving milestones – estimated at 20 – 40% of base salary
