I have a sliiiiight problem. Whenever I try and make liveries in fs2020 I need a texture to paint on the plane. I make the texture (white), and it is all good. But then the texture applies to every. single. object. in blender. So everything is white expect for the part I painted. Obviously airplanes aren't full white so I was wondering if someone had a work around or a fix to this. Thanks in advance
I'm not sure, but if everything except the part you painted is white, maybe you're making an alpha mask. Or opacity map if you like.
I haven't made liveries in ages, so someone else might have a better explanation.
Easiest thing is to make a template with your livery colours in a paint program and save it as a png file. Paint this onto the model in Blender using x-symmetry so you paint both sides the same, ensuring each object is painted before you change to another png image. Save the texture files individually. Then for each side make a template with the images and text, the rest of the image being transparent so you can paint over your livery colours. Paint each side with the text and images, ensuring for each object that you do not have x-symmetry on, and when finished save the texture files again. Then in turn then apply each of the texture files to the relevant background image from your paint kit, set up the livery package and install into MSFS.
I have a whole bunch of beautiful r/w airline liveries. Can these be used on the AI planes sitting at the gate, taxing, taking off, landing, etc? I get tired of seeing mustard color a/c sitting at the gate when we have so many new skins created by some very talented folks. That would really make things come alive. Appreciate any help you can give.

Admittedly when i play fs2004 i am unable to use disk 4 as i've lost it but when i am flying, the liveries display for anywhere between 5-20 minutes on AI aircraft, and sometimes even my own planes, before eventually disappearing, and displaying the model...
rather than seeing the same AI planes fly across my path (American Pacific, Orbit, et al that come with FSX), I'd like to see some real world planes. Aside from this site, are there any others that have AI planes for download?thanks...
Hi,I am using Ultimate Traffic to provide AI traffic for my virtual world on flight sim, but I have just downloaded an AI Britten Norman Islander in the Mountain Air livery and it's flight plans for New Zealand. What I want to know now is how do I ...
Hello,I recently bought FSX steam and after playing for some time, i tried to install other 3rd party Addon aircraft to FSX Steam. They dont show up (nothing at all) in my aircrafts. (These work perfectly with my friend's FSX Steam). I also tried instal...
I can't see how this can be... please double-check the file extension (as well as location), as it can also have another extension (usually .txt) that is hidden when you look at it in windows explorer. If that isn't the issue, please show me that file.
@VERTSPDmake sure your aircraft name includes a subset of the custom macro file name. If you are using a custom livery this may not be the case. For example, the "FlyByWire A32NX" matches the A32NX FBW.hvar file. Other liveries don't include A32NX.

I think I'm having the same issue. I'm totally new with FSUIPC and dont know if I'm doing something wrong or if there is something that's not working.
I'm trying to bind buttons on my throttle (x-56) to custom events in the FlyByWire A32NX (MFSF). Should the custom events be found in the dropdown when selecting "for FS control"? I can't find any of the A32NX specific events in the dropdown like :
Have you added the event file containing those events to your FSUIPC7 installation folder? If not, do that. The event file for those events is called flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo.evt and is located under the EventFiles folder of your FSUIPC7 installation. Move that file up one folder, to the main installation folder.
I found the custom LVAR: PUSH_OVHD_CALLS_ALL in the A32NX documentation. I copied the flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo.evt file to the FSUIPC installation folder and added the following line: 30=PUSH_OVHD_CALLS_ALL
I find it in the dropdown, but when choosing nothing happend. What is going wrong?
Second, are you sure that those are actually existing FBW events? Checking the MobiFlight hubhop resource ( ), I can see the following MobiFlight events:
PUSH_OVHD_CALLS_ALL_OFF
PUSH_OVHD_CALLS_ALL_ON
Alternatively, those events just set/toggle the lvar L:PUSH_OVHD_CALLS_ALL. You can use the lvar directly in FSUIPC rather than using MobiFlight events, by either adding this lvar to an FSUIPC offset or using a macro file. Details of both techniques can be found in the User Guide and Advanced User guide.
Hello, has anybody experienced and solved a problem with importing aircraft models in Blender? I have tried importing gltf files with 4.0, 3.6 and 3.2 and Im receiving the following python errors. Can You give me some advices on what Im doing wrong? The screen is with pmdg 737 but it goes the same with any other aircraft

Thanks for the fast reply. However, what kind of options do I have? I suppose I cant import any gltf files from within the sim. I have installed 5 versionf of blender including the 3.3.x and it still shows the errors (most probably because of the textures updated with some different datas?). Is the only option to use the paintkits available on flightsim.to and add textures to these? It looks like a completely crazy environment where people cannot make liveries in a regular way. But somehow they do Can You pls give me some note on how to deal with it? Im making sceneries from withiin the sim and models in blender but have never had such weird problems What Im trying to do is to change some datas like the regs for the specific livery for 737. I was doing it in fsx and p3d and it was much more easy and less problematic.
I found a solution for my case after few days I was not even aware abt how demanding it is nowadays to paint the airplane and create / edit the liveries. It is not my intention to do it in a non-legit way. However not that much has changed since the fsx/p3d times and having the possibility of using the 3d software nowadays should be a standard as fighting with the 2d textures only makes it much more time consuming and inconvenient. Besides, I truly admire the new SDK and editors within the sim for scenery creation and aircraft programming. And I hope, painting would be more supported by asobo soon and they will focus much more on the official Blender support (3ds max support is also not that fresh I see). What to say - the life of a developer is not that easy Thank You very much for Your kindness and time spent on my query. I really appreciate that. Best regards
PS. Anybody having similar problems with importing the models or working with textures - in case of any questions on a solution on how to work with 3d/2d software, feel free and send me a message.
DISCLAIMER! This tool does not support any kind of multiplayer activities. You will not see smokes and flares, created by other players, same as they will not see yours smokes and flares.
Load smokes preset from the server. If you have saved smokes data for current aircraft before, this record will be loaded. Otherwise, parameters made by someone else will be loaded, if such a record exists.
Parameters and position of all smoke sources will be reset to default. If a smoke preset for current aircraft is injected into the program code, it will be loaded. Otherwise appearance parameters will be set in a neutral position.
When any smoke source is selected, arrows can be used to adjust longitudinal, lateral and vertical positions, and also pitch and heading angles. During adjustment you will see the smoke source indicator as a grey cylinder in the shape of an arrow, which points to the direction of the smoke trail. You can hold each of the buttons to move the source quickly, or press it once for precise positioning.
Most FPS friendly, but the worst looking effect. It appears as a partially transparent ribbon with a smoke texture, which does not look properly from certain angles or low speed maneuvers (like aerobatics).
You can attach aircraft events to the smoke buttons. Script will capture event change and toggle related features, when keyboard or joystick button pressed, or when replay tool is used which will toggle these events automatically.
List of available events (check MSFS controls settings to find actual hotkey): Light switches, Parking brake, Ballast valve (for custom ballast dump effect), Water rudder handle, Engine #1 Throttle lever (for engine exhaust effect). ATTENTION! Not every aircraft has all the light available, some light switches may work for one aircraft and do not for another.
