I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Patrick Santora who has been
working with Edmund and has been offering patches for a while. Patrick
is now officially a project member and contributor for Edmund (and my
other mini-projects such as Closures and Concurrency etc, should he
wish). Patrick has been working on Railo support for Edmund as well as
some other enhancements.

Patrick, if you'd like to tell folks a bit about yourself and what
changes you've been making to Edmund...

Thanks Sean,

I hate long introductions so I will make it short.

I have been working with Coldfusion for about 8+ years now and have taken a deep dive into OOD/OOP. I utilize many of the common tools out there (Coldspring, Mach-II, Model Glue, Coldbox, Transfer, Illudium as well as a few more).

Sean recommended me to check out Edmund to help me with asynchronous event processing for an API I'm working on. After picking it apart and seeing its potential I felt I could contribute. At this point I am working on introducing (synchronous and asynchronous) event chaining capabilities as well as Railo threading support. It's basically done and I plan on pushing it up soon.

Thanks again Sean...

I think it was recorded but I don't see it on UGTV... Pat?

I'm not sure it was recorded. I will check with Seth as he is in charge of that. In the meantime here is the preso file so you catch some of what I talked about.

I have my example here as well (XMPP asyn/scyn) if you need such an example. It's very simple thought. Just let me know if you need it. I may need to explain a few things on the way.
