Hello everyone,

EUPA has a couple clinics coming up that could use some volunteers and a couple spring leagues you should sign up for. Check out the details below.

ROGUE HIPPO

EUPA is looking for volunteers to help out with two upcoming beginner clinics!
  • Indoor Beginners Clinic
    • When: April 9, 4:00pm to 6:00pm
    • Where: Commonwealth Rec Centre, Field House
    • What: During this session we will cover the basic skills of Ultimate, rules of play, simple strategy, and provide an opportunity to try out your new skills in game play.
    • Volunteer roles:
      • Check-in and registration
      • Lead instructors
      • Assistant Instructors
  • Corporate Challenge Learn to Play Session
    • When: April 23, 10:00am to 12:00pm
    • Where: Commonwealth Rec Centre, Field House
    • What: During this session we will cover the basics of Ultimate, the rules of play, and basic strategy with the focus on participants learning so that they can teach their Corporate Challenge teammates.
    • Volunteer roles:
      • Check-in and registration
      • Lead instructors
      • Assistant Instructors

Women's Competitive League is back for it's second season!
Building off the good times of last spring EUPA is excited to be running 5 weeks of women's ultimate for players are looking to kick off their spring with some good spirited competitive play. If you've been playing for a while or are looking for a challenge, this league is for you!
  • Who: Female players 18+ looking for some fun rec-competitive Ultimate to kick off their outdoor season.
  • When: Monday nights - May 1 to 29, 2017
  • Where: Kaskitayo Sports Park (19 Ave & 109 St)
  • Cost: $30/player
  • League Format:
    • 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 Ultimate, exact format to be determined by number of registrants.
    • Games will follow the 11th Edition Rules with a few modifications for a faster game.
    • Individual registration, teams will be drafted by captains to ensure fair teams and competitive play.
    • Stats will be kept for all players and prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
  • Registration: Sign up online now! Registration will close on April 23 or once all spots have been filled.

Kick off your spring with Men's Competitive League
Returning this spring is one of our favorite leagues, Men's Competitive League aka LOEU! This 8-week men's league is for players that possess that driving competitive spirit and want to step up their game with some friendly competition. 

  • Who: Male players looking to play rec-competitive Ultimate, this league is not suitable for beginner players.
  • When: Monday nights - May 1 to June 19, 2017
  • Where: Kaskitayo Sports Park (19 Ave & 109 St)
  • Cost: $45/player
  • League Format:
    • ​3-on-3 or 4-on-4 Ultimate, exact format to be determined by number of registrants
    • Games will follow the 11th Edition Rules with a few modifications:
      • Continuous play (no pulls between points)
      • Subs on-the-fly
      • Reduced field size
    • Individual registration, players will be drafted by General Managers to teams and trades will be made throughout the season to ensure parity. 
    • Salaries and stats will be tracked and prizes will be awarded to the league champions and top players.
  • Registration: Sign up online now! Registration will close on April 23 or once all spots have been filled.
