I guess its up to each individual whether or not they feel safe eating
toffifee or not. I spoke to the lady from storck in Ontario and she didn't
say much, she just said that this is the statement from the parent company
in Germany. the chocolate is made in Germany and shipped to Canada. It
says that on the box. Europe allows 200 ppm of gluten, Canada only allows
20 ppm to be allowed to be called gluten free.

Storck products are considered safe for people who have celiac disease or
who have an aversion to gluten. The following statement has been given to
us from our Quality Control Labs in our parent company in Germany.

"Our current Gluten Free statement, based on the definition of Gluten Free
Foods in the Codex Standard: Based on the Codex Alimentarius Standard
118-1981 products with gluten content less 200-ppm (less 0,05 g total
nitrogen of wheat origin products in the end product) can be named as
"Gluten Free". The origins of the gluten are ingredients like glucose
syrup, glucose-fructose-syrup, sorbitol or dextrose, which are made from
wheat.
