Does anyone know where to purchase this beer in or around the Edmonton
area?

There are a number of places.

Sobey's Western Cellars sell both kinds of La Messegerie (sp?) beer.
Liquor stores aso handle it but I don't know which ones.

For best selection go to Sherbrooke beer store on the North east corner of Groat Road and 118 ST.

I do not know where to purchase that beer but the Sherbrooke Liquor Store - on the corner of 118 Ave and St. Albert Trail has about 6-8 different kinds of gluten free beer.

Messengere blonde
Messengere Rousse (red)
Frio (from Winnipeg) - this one is my favorite
A spanish one
Glutener - 3-4 varieties
There's another one I forget it's name - but its made from sorgum.

I'd love to hear your opinion on any of them.  I personally don't like messengere blonde, but I do like Frio.

No, but we've been looking. When we go to Portland, we pick up as much as
we're allowed to take across the border. It's good and much less expensive
then the GF beer purchased in Canada.

Also, a note on Sherbrooke Liquor Store - if the beer is available in Canada they will get it in for you.  So if Redbridge is imported here then he can get it.

Does anyone know about gluten free restaurants in Yellowknife?  I tried to check The Celiac Scene, but Yellowknife is not yet available.  Cheers, Tina

Hello Margaret,

I am afraid that I have no connections in Yellowknife who could provide me with insight into GF dining or even shopping options.

Are there any CCA members registered up there and if so, could they be invited to be in touch with me. I would certainly like to put Yellowknife on The Celiac Scene™ map!

Also, thank your very much for recommending The Celiac Scene™ to those who inquire with you at the National office about places to dine in Canada. I am only too happy to help!

Sincerely,
