Hi guys,
In support of the tech-themed
Turing Festival this August, I'm working on a side project called
TuringTown. It helps visiting entrepreneurs find local hosts in Edinburgh who are willing to put them up during the festival. The dates are Thursday - Saturday, 23-25 August, and I have a super list of startups looking for somewhere to crash!
I organised something similar on a smaller scale last year, and all the hosts reported having a fab time (and also enjoyed their free Turing Festival tickets! This year, hosts get free tickets to see Steve Wozniak of Apple.)
Two things: I'd love your feedback on the idea/site. Second, if you're interested in hosting, I can offer freebies, friends, fun, karma, and connections. Just drop me a line, or sign up on http://turingtown.co.uk.
Let me know what you think! I know a couple of Lean Startup stalwarts have already signed up—thanks!
Hilary
