May I suggest to make projects in PyProject and bookmarks in File Browser separate main items (similar to the older Project plug-in with main folders), and enhance them with filter boxes. It would be much quicker to switch projects and we would not waist time to find a bookmark in the sub-menu.

Not sure I completly understand what your asking. Can you illustrate this in some way?

By 'main items' do you mean folders?

If so for the File Browser it would defeat the purpose of the plugin to be a browser of the file system. The projects plugin could be used in its place to get this behavior. Otherwise its possible that some sort of view configuration could be added to the FileBrowser plugin to allow customizing its view in such a way. If this is desireable then I suggest filing an enhancement request in the issue tracker (editra.googlecode.com) so that it doesn't get lost as my free time is quite limited these days and it may be awhile before I get a chance to look into it.

For PyProject it really needs to work with a single project at a time or several other features in the future will be more difficult to implement. If you need to be constantly switching between projects I would suggest just having one Editra window open for each project, each one should be able to have its own project view.

Don't think there isn't any reason not to keep using the old Projects plugin if that is the behavior you want from a file viewer. The other two don't really have any feature yet that put them out ahead of it, though I do have hopes for the PyProjects plugin at some point.

It's harder to explain my thoughts as I'm not a native English
speaker.

By main item I mean the folded *.psp project files listed in PyProject
so one should not need to browse the file system for another project
file. Only one project would be active at a time (activated by Return
or double click on a psp file).

As for the file browser pane having a structure like this:
> Collapsed bookmarked folder
v Expanded bookmarked folder
    another folder
    file.py
Bookmarked_file.py
Another_boomark.xml
---------------------
v File System
    ...
    active file selected

The older plug-in might be abandoned and buggy over time, so I prefer
the new ones.

This is just a suggestion for anyone who has more spare time than me
to write a patch.

Ok, I see. I think that to go this route it may be better to have it configurable like folows

Bookmarked Folder 1
    - some sub files / folders
Bookmarked Folder 2
   - ...

This could be fairly easily achievable, being able to have files on the top level would add complexity and possibly some need to re-write part of the file control.

Please add a feature request to the issue tracker at (http://editra.googlecode.com) so that this enhancement idea doesn't get lost in the inbox.

Thanks,

Cody
