June 1st tournament

Our first tournament is June 1st. Course: Mattawang white around 6500 yards. Tee times start at 11:00am.

Longest drive will be the 14th hole. Two closest-to-pin holes will be #6 and #11.

The Awards are: Gross 1, 2 and 3. Net 1, 2 and 3. Longest Drive and Two closest-to-pin.
The first place Gross and Net winners will get a Trophy. The rest of the winners will get a box of Bridgestone golf balls.

Tournament Rules:

Ball should be played as it lies. So if it is in a divot, it can't be moved.

Putting gimme rule - If the distance from the hole to the ball is within or on the length of the part of regular putter shaft, which is below the grip, player doesn't have to putt out the hole.

Maximum number of strokes per hole - Double par

Pace of play - Keep up with the group in front of you. Captains are the leaders and need to work with team members to keep the pace with the team ahead you.

Penalty - One stroke penalty in all conditions - Out of bound, lost ball, all hazards. The drop should be within the two-club length, not closer to the hole, from the point of entry. If ball clearly went into the hazard, the point of entry should be the edge of the hazard. If the ball got lost in the rough, the point of entry is the boundary of the fairway and the rough. This means, the drop may or may not be in the fairway.

Time to look for the lost ball - Two minutes. The captain is in charge of deciding when to move on and taking a penalty. Please help each other to watch and search for the ball. I know not everyone is very good in this area. But just for this tournament, please do a better job. This will help everyone have a enjoyable round.

As always, please repair divots and ball marks.

The rules are mostly same as rules from previous tournaments which most of you are familiar.

Fees - $60 thanks for donations from 君($200)，Dr. Li($100) and Yang(2 box balls). Tom has paid green fees for all already. Bill will collect the money from each person.

So far we have 15 people coming to dinner: Jack, Bing, Tom, Dr Li, Yang, Michael, Daniel, Dan, Henry, Yingsha, Kevin, Hong, Yubing, 田平 and Bill. 到时候有抽奖活动。

I believe we will use whatever the white tee boxes are located, so it will be 182 and 198 approximately.

Mattawang uses 182/198 for in-season plays for those two holes and uses 145/150 for off-season plays (typically 11/1 to mid April).

Tournament update: fellow golf mates, can't ask for better weather for Sunday. Besides previous, here are some additional rules and strong suggestion (ball mark):  1. Tie break. If 18 hole scores tie, then compare whoever has lowest back 9 hole scores, then last 6 hole scores and last 3 hole scores. Still tie let's have a play off. 2. Mark your balls: please mark your balls and show to your team members. This is very important. 3. Confirmed with course that there will be no white lines so no relief from those places (be careful don't drive too long tee shot on 15th hole, 240 yards 左右有一个小沟；no relief there). 4. On hole 7th, there is no drop zone for balls in water. Instead balls should be placed behind the line if the entry to water（so drop ball behind water).
