Hi folks,
A reminder here we're holding an Extraordinary General Meeting this Thursday, details below, to discuss the sustainability of the group. The committee will be there 8-10pm.
Can you let me know if you'll attend please, if you haven't already. If you can't attend, but are willing to join the committee, please let me know what position you are thinking of helping with, again details below.

Hi all,
We’re holding an EGM on Thursday 12 September at 8pm in the Beehive (room
on the left as you go in), in the Grassmarket, to decide on the future of
the group – whether to continue it or not. All of you will be welcome.
We’ve received feedback indicating members want the group to continue, and
also offers to lead walks beyond the current programme, and that’s great
thanks. So the walks side isn’t a problem, however the sustainability of
the committee is. We need a pool of volunteers prepared to serve a stint
on the committee, so the committee revolves. If we don’t have that, the
committee can’t reasonably continue with the same officers permanently in
post. *So please can you let me know if you would be willing to serve on
the committee?* With a big enough pool, no-one would need to serve too
long. If we can’t get this pool of people by, say, the end of the year, we
may well have to wind up the group then.
Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Walks coordinator(s), and optionally and
preferably a Social Secretary. In practice a stint would be 1 or 2 years,
AGM to AGM, helping with walks programmes, comms, socials, finance.
