In the case of a bilingual website, we have a page www.example.com,
www.example.com/en and www.example.com/fr.
Then, there is no real home page.
I mean, there is English content on the /en page, there is French
content on the /fr. But there is no content, and no page associated
with the .com page. Only a redirect to the other 2 languages pages.
Correct ?

So, if a robot (or a human) is looking for a back link on the home
page, it (he) will not find it unless it is on both the /en & /fr
pages.

If a link directory insist on having the backlink on the home page, we
may have difficulty doing it.

Am I correct ?

Hi! The language for home page from the "/" will be picked by the user's preference. So if user has been on the french site before, /fr will be displayed as home page. If user has not been on the site before, Edicy will guess the language based on the browser settings and the country where the visit is coming from.

Best,
Priit.
