The JMdict server is having a problem. I'm away from my main system and it may take a while to investigate.

It's back working. Fingers crossed.

Unfortunately newly generated snapshot files are broken:

JMdict is truncated (275 bytes)
JMdict_e is truncated (275 bytes)
JMdict_e_examp is truncated (275 bytes)
JMnedict.xml is truncated (329 bytes)
edict is identical to snapshot from yesterday (includes date 2025-11-14)
edict_sub is identical to snapshot from yesterday (includes date 2025-11-14)
edict2 is identical to snapshot from yesterday (includes date 2025-11-14)
edict2u is identical to snapshot from yesterday (includes date 2025-11-14)
enamdict is truncated (147 bytes)
enamdictu is truncated (151 bytes)
enamdictx is truncated (about 1.6 MiB instead of about 31 MiB)

(For testing, you can simply use 'wget
https://www.edrdg.org/pub/Nihongo/JMdict' etc. (possibly with .gz
suffix) and see result.)

Yes, I rebooted the server to get the database working,  but for some reason a symbolic link was deleted which caused the extraction scripts to crash.

Once that was fixed I reran some of them but didn't have time to do them all,  and in any case the truncated versions were already sent out.

It should be OK tomorrow.

Today's extraction/installation/distribution scripts seem to have run successfully.

Cheers
