Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying how this spring is leafing out. This golden green of springtime has us really excited since local produce is heating up. Local berries are just round the bend and we can't wait.

EA will have Organically grown starts from Breanne at Growing Home for $3/each this Saturday- stop into Eco to get yours ( or order them on the webstore).  Heirloom tomatoes, fennel, cilantro, peppers, basil, eggplant, escarole, & kale  to jumpstart your garden for the spring.

In this week's share we've selected lovely ingredients for Mother's Day; fresh and Just in time for you to make it a brunch-tastic Sunday!  Order the lady in your life a share, or use a share to cook her up something special.  :)  We still have shares for order of both varieties!  Contents are liable to change, as always.

Produce Share:
6oz Rhubarb (Ellis Family Farm, Benton Harbor, MI)
2/3 lb Sunchokes (Nichol's Farm)
1 bunch Swiss Chard (Growing Power)
2/3 lb Rosefinn Apple Potatoes (Nicol's Farm)
1 bunch Purple Asparagus (Mick Klug)
1 bunch Leeks (Growing Power)
12 oz White Mushrooms (Nichol's Farm)

Fruit Share
1 LB Organic Bananas from Ecuador/Peru
1/2 LB Limes from Mexico
1 1-LB Bag of Kiwis from California
3/4 LB Barhi Dates from California

As always, come and volunteer at 10am to help break out shares.  We're looking for a driver for the northside for this week again, to Logan Square and the Gold Coast by 2pm.

Enjoy the sunshine!
EA
