COMMUNITY GARDENING AND "FOOD FESTIVAL" MEETING

TIME:-  MEETING  TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY 3RD NOVEMBER AT 7PM
PLACE:-  "HANDS ON WORKSHOP" 12 BACK NEWTON GROVE  LS74HP  
THERE IS ON-STREET PARKING IN BACK NEWTON GROVE

You are cordially invited to a meeting of interested groups and individuals with a view to exploring the possibilities of joining together to collectively promote Community Gardening in Chapeltown. Also to work towards holding a "Food Festival"  in Chapeltown in summer 2012, bringing together all growers, individual and collective, to show and celebrate the produce they have grown. The "Food Festival" has the potential to draw in many strands of community life, bringing cultures together and as well as promoting "grow your own", the potential to demonstrate and celebrate the international cuisine that exists in Chapeltown.

There are many groups and individuals working towards promoting Community Gardening in Chapeltown and  collectively we may be able to take the above project forward.

I apologise if I have not contacted you personally to explain the idea - it developed from a Coversations Chapeltown event where this project was one of the topics discussed - although I have tried to contact as many interested people as I can. It would be good if you could let us know if you are able to attend, and also feel free to pass this invitation on to any interested individual or group. If you are unable to attend but would like to be kept informed, please let us know.
