Hello everyone

As you may be aware New Shoots garden group is based at Bracken Edge Primary school in LS7. We are a volunteer community group aiming to provide opportunities to grow flowers, fruit and vegetables for adults and children in the area.

We have now been given a new area to work in.  It is very large and will provided opportunities to increase what we grow and hopefully the opportunities available to do so.  However the area is very overgrown!  New Shoots children will be taking part in an orchard plant in Potternewton Park on Thursday 20th September as part of the "Feed Leeds" launch, and following on from this we hope to launch our new growing space.

We are hoping that with help we will be able to clear the area over a two day period.

Date: Saturday 22nd September and Sunday 23rd September 2012
Time: 10.30 - 3.00
Please bring any tools you may have to help us as we only have a few adult tools to use!  Please bring a lunch, and maybe something to share. Refreshments will be provided also.
Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult.

If you would like to help then please let me know so we can organise refreshments!  We are hoping that this will be a community event and that everyone will want to share in helping to create the garden for the children to use in the Spring.  You dont need to attend for both sessions or even a whole session, just half an hour if you can manage would be a massive help and really appreciated by the group.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to join us or have any questions

Kind regards
Donna Cutting
