Hello,
Just thought Edible Public Space people who are local to Chapeltown might be interested to know that we have a special gardening display at the moment filled with lots of great gardening books to help you with planning your growing this spring. We've got some lovely books from Alys Fowler, Joy Larkcom, Bob Flowerdew and others, and lots about composting, growing in small spaces and gardening with kids, so it's a good opportunity to expand your knowledge or just have a look at some popular titles before investing in them (the best ones are sure to go out quickly though). If you're not a Leeds Libraries member yet just bring along some id and proof of address and we can sign you up-you can return books to any library in the city so if you aren't local but will be in the area it's still worth a look!

We also have a special gardening themed storytime for under-5s this Friday at 2.15,with growing themed books, rhymes and crafts- please bring your little ones along if you can!

I was also wondering if we would be able to promote the Edible Public Space project at all-maybe just some leaflets that we could put on the display? Might be a nice way to raise awareness locally, and possibly encourage people to start growing.

Cheers,
Beth (library assistant at Chapeltown library!)
