Dear Folks,
Hail possible this Sunday-Tuesday?
I have been a weather watcher for a number of years for gardening
guidelines and the storm coming in this weekend has some of the
predictors for Hail although I have not seen any alerts on that
factor.
With high winds, a low snow level (4,000) feet and high rain volume,
hail would not be a surprise to me. Hail in early spring, early
summer, and early fall are not uncommon in the Valley.
The point is - with many of us having tender seedlings in the garden,
hail most certainly would have an impact on them.
Give some thought as to how to, very quickly, you can cover or
otherwise protect your tender plants.
Other than that we REALLY need the rain this system is forecast to
bring in, so here is hoping for rain and no hail.
Have a very happy and garden-green St. Patrick's Day!
Catherine
