Sunday Streets Excelsior is this weekend, October 19th ! 📢
The Sunday Streets Excelsior open streets event will take place on Mission St between Avalon/Theresa and Geneva Ave, transforming a new vibrant space for recreation, culture, and engagement.
Join us from 11 AM to 4 PM on October 19th and check out the Salvadoran Soul Encuentro: food, dance, music, poetry, printmaking, and lucha libre all along the route!

At our North Hub: spend time with the SF Public Library Excelsior Branch & Friends! Enjoy bubbles, chalk art, hula hoops, book giveaways, and the beloved Bibliotero. Hop on the smoothie bike, test your chess skills with Bright Knights Chess Club, and join SF Rec & Park’s Mobile Rec for skateboarding lessons on ramps and rails. Don’t miss a special visit from the SF Fire Department’s fire truck!

At our South Hub: Visit the Scout Zone hosted by Scouting America for hands-on adventures for youth ages 5–18, featuring interactive games, arts and crafts, pinewood derby cars, and more. Then, stop by Bay Area Cancer Connection’s “Tiffany”, the bright blue van bringing care, connection, and vital cancer support resources directly to the community. Don’t miss the Jerry Day / Friends of JGA booth to celebrate San Francisco legend Jerry Garcia, learn about his legacy, and grab some special giveaways.

At our Persia Hub: dance along to performances at the Persia Hub Stage presented by the Excelsior Outer Mission Merchants and shop at the Retail Zone featuring local vendors and makers. Don’t miss this action packed performance line-up:

Sunday Streets South of Market Recap!🎉
On October 5, Sunday Streets SoMa brought the street to life with upbeat music, lively dancing, mouthwatering food, and plenty of sunshine that lit up the neighborhood. Families spent the day enjoying a variety of games, hands-on activities, and exciting free giveaways—creating a joyful celebration that had something for everyone to enjoy.
A special shout-out to SOMA Pilipinas for sponsoring the Filipino American Heritage Month Stage featuring Canon Kip Nanays, Galing Bata, Peaboo and the Catz, VerSoul, the West Bay Moms, plus a drag performance by Mx.
