On July 4 - Stars, stripes, and soaring sound! This Fourth of July, the Golden Gate Park Band delivers a red-white-and-blue celebration bursting with patriotic favorites, rousing marches, and musical fireworks. This concert is always one of our audience favorites. Bring your pooch and enter our first annual GGPB patriotic dog costume contest! We have a prize for the best costume.

On July 5 guest conductor Brian S. Wilson will lead the band  in “Musical Landscapes.” From the Jaunty Sea Shanties of “The Seafarer” to the sun-drenched rhythms of “Pacific Island Fantasy” by Sammy Nestico, this program paints scenes in vibrant musical colors.

Expansive, evocative, and exhilarating — these are landscapes you’ll want to share with your family and friends.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon beneath the trees in Golden Gate Park, enjoy a great free family friendly concert and bask in a beautiful summer day in one of the most spectacular settings in San Francisco.

Bring a picnic or purchase a great meal from one of the food trucks behind the bandshell and bask in a visual and musical treat.

There is ADA parking behind the bandshell, and many public transportation options to get to the concert.

Please share this email with a friend!

Support a Living Piece of San Francisco’s Musical History

For over a century, the Golden Gate Park Band has filled San Francisco with free, world-class music — a tradition made possible by listeners like you. Sponsored in part by the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and the San Francisco Grants for the Arts, the Band still depends on community generosity for over half of our budget. Your donation helps sustain professional musicians, expand programming, and keep this treasured cultural tradition free for all. Help us keep the music playing. We need Four hundred donors to contribute at least $250 to meet our goals for this season, but any amount is appreciated.

Become part of the tradition.
