On July 4 - Stars, stripes, and soaring sound! This Fourth of July, the Golden Gate Park Band delivers a red-white-and-blue celebration bursting with patriotic favorites, rousing marches, and musical fireworks. This concert is always one of our audience favorites. Bring your pooch and enter our first annual GGPB patriotic dog costume contest! We have a prize for the best costume.
On July 5 guest conductor Brian S. Wilson will lead the band in “Musical Landscapes.” From the Jaunty Sea Shanties of “The Seafarer” to the sun-drenched rhythms of “Pacific Island Fantasy” by Sammy Nestico, this program paints scenes in vibrant musical colors.
Expansive, evocative, and exhilarating — these are landscapes you’ll want to share with your family and friends.
Join us for an inspiring afternoon beneath the trees in Golden Gate Park, enjoy a great free family friendly concert and bask in a beautiful summer day in one of the most spectacular settings in San Francisco.
Bring a picnic or purchase a great meal from one of the food trucks behind the bandshell and bask in a visual and musical treat.
