Property Tax Exemptions
The deadline to file for and receive a full exemption to save money on your property taxes, such as the Homeowners' Exemption or Welfare Exemption for non-profits, is February 15, 2026.
You can now use our online community portal to file for exemptions and
it's not too late to book an in-person, one-on-one appointment with our staff if you have questions about eligibility or need help filing. You can make an appointment here and learn more about exemptions here.
Requesting Reductions in Assessed Value
From January 2 to March 31, 2026, residential property owners who believe the assessed (taxable) value of their home is higher than the market value may file an Informal Review Request to temporarily lower their assessed value.
This service is provided at no charge and is available to property owners in a single-family dwelling, residential condominiums, townhouses, live-work lofts, and cooperative units.
