We need your help! We're participating in another action at City Hall this coming Tuesday, May 12th as part of the People's Budget Coalition. We will engage in solidarity with 50+ local organizations and their participants who may be impacted by the Mayor's proposed budget cuts. There will be hundreds of advocates there to send a message to the Mayor to restore his proposed cuts to services and programs before he finalizes and prints his budget.
We are specifically seeking:
1) Staff and Participants to commit to attending (all part of the action 11:30am-1:30pm)
2) 1-3 total participants willing to read aloud a postcard length message inside the Mayor's office about the potential impact of the cuts - please reach out to me if you have an interested participant willing to write up a postcard and share 2-5 sentences aloud at the Mayor's office.
3) Thank you for sharing this opportunity to unite and speak up with your participants.
4) Spread the word - these impacts are city-wide across all ages and sectors and people!
In community,
Rebecca Johnson, CLC Director of HR & Operations, (415) 722-2457
