Dear Community Partners,

In an effort to increase the community’s ability to meet the needs of its residents after a major disaster, The City and County of San Francisco is partnering with federal and state first responder agencies to conduct an exercise drill on the morning of Monday September 12th at Crocker Amazon Park.

The drill will consist of a US Marine Corps helicopter landing between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the northwestern corner of Crocker Amazon Playground and dropping of humanitarian aid packages to local first responders.  The entire exercise should not last longer than thirty minutes.

Every effort is being made to ensure the highest level of safety for the residents and organizations in and around Crocker Amazon with the lowest level of disruption to their day to day lives as possible.

Important Details for Local Agencies

Parking – Vehicles will not be allowed to park along Moscow and France streets adjacent to the park before and during the event.  No Parking Signs will be posted at least five business days before the event to give residents adequate notice.

Park Access – There will be reduced access to the park before and during the exercise to ensure the safety of residents and guests.
