In collaboration with the Mayor's Office of Community Engagement, Supervisor Chen's office and SF Public Works, there will be a DISTRICT 11, LOVE OUR CITY volunteer work day Saturday, April 11th from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at various locations in District 11.
The Friends of Kenny Alley and the Excelsior Action Group are hosting a Volunteer Neighborhood Beautification Day at KENNY ALLEY.
Please join us at KENNY ALLEY (between Mission Street and London Street across from the Safeway parking lot). We will meet Saturday, April 11th at KENNY ALLEY for volunteer clean up after the kick off event that starts at 8:30 A.M. at Balboa Park. We will work in Kenny Alley from 9:00 A.M. until Noon, then return to Balboa Park.
What to Expect
- The event kicks off at Balboa Pool Grass Lawn (51 Havelock St) with registration between 8:30 AM and 9 AM.
- There will be a short speaking program to go over the day’s activities and get a quick safety overview.
- Volunteers and Public Works staff then will head to their assigned work sites.
- Work will take place for about 3 hours, with everyone returning to the kickoff location around noon.
- Sandwiches will be served to volunteers.
What to Wear/Bring
- Dress in layers
- Wear closed toe shoes and sunscreen
- Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
