Subject: San Francisco's Landscaping Equipment Ordinance

Dear San Francisco residents,  

I am reaching out on behalf of the San Francisco Environment Department regarding upcoming regulations on gas-powered landscaping equipment. 

In 2022, San Francisco passed the Healthy, Cleaner, Quieter Communities Act, which bans the use of gas-powered landscaping equipment, including lawn and garden equipment such as leaf blowers, trimmers, and mowers. This ban will go into effect on January 1, 2026. This applies to both professional landscapers and the public.  

Help spread the word! As a community member, you can support San Francisco’s transition to cleaner, quieter, and healthier landscaping practices by sharing information with your neighbors.
