cannot access reports from using the EDGE_gui

Hello,

I am running the docker image for the development version of the EDGE.  Several projects have run successfully.  Today I changed the ownership of the EDGE_output folder (and all folders within)  to my user and group.  In the EDGE gui, I can see all my projects but I am unable to access the reports.  I get the following error:  Failed to retrieve the report. Please REFRESH the page and try again.

When I look at the Apache error log I see the following errors:

I have tried changing the owner:group to root:root and root:my_group.  Neither has resolved the issue.  What should the permission of the folder be?  Is there anything I can do to access the reports from the gui?

I can access report.html from the directory itself, but some of the embedded features do not work (eg.  extract fastq sequences from PanGIA results, links to jBrowse or directories)

In the Docker container, the EDGE_output directory expect to be owned by user “edge” [uid=2000] and group “edge” [gid=2000].

Hello Chienchi,

I did not change permissions in the Docker container. I changed the ownership of the linked EDGE_output directory. I did double check and the EDGE_output directory in the Docker container is owned by "edge" and the group is "edge".

Resolved this issue by opening up permissions to the folder ( chmod 0777) as suggested on the bioedge/dev_edge Docker site.
