Dear Rhys,
Thank you for your message and for using EDGE.
EDGE projects retain the processed outputs, but the original FASTQ and other large input files are subject to pruning and may not be preserved with the project. In particular, EDGE will automatically prune FASTQ and other large files after 30 days, or sooner
if overall disk usage is close to capacity, in order to maintain sufficient space on the system.
If the original FASTQ files for the TigerBullWhite project have been pruned, they will not be included in the project download and unfortunately cannot be recovered from the EDGE. In that case, you can reupload your original FASTQ files to EDGE and rerun the
analysis using SILVA instead of Greengenes.
Please let us know if you need any assistance setting up the rerun or configuring the SILVA-based workflow.
Kind regards,
Chienchi Lo

Dear EDGE Bioinformatics team,
I hope you are well.
I am writing to ask about an archived EDGE project from a few years ago named
TigerBullWhite. I would like to re-run the project using SILVA instead of
Greengenes, but I am unsure whether the original FASTQ files are still available.
If I download the project, will the original FASTQ files be included, or only the processed outputs? If the FASTQ files are no longer included in the project download, is there any way to retrieve or re-access the original input files from the archived project?
Many thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Rhys Healy
