Hi Team,
We are seeing a validator warning stating that Planned Procedure codes may be selected from CPT-4 or ICD10-PCS. This is an informational rule only (MAY, not SHALL). As per the template, SNOMED CT is allowed, and CPT/HCPCS are also optional. We have observed that even when CPT/HCPCS codes are provided, the same warning continues to appear.
Therefore, we intend to proceed with SNOMED-based SDOH Planned Procedures and treat this as expected validator behavior.

Hi Team,
I’m following up on my previous (above) email regarding the validator warnings for SDOH Planned Procedures.
As noted previously, we have confirmed that our use of SNOMED CT aligns with the template requirements. Since the warning is informational ("MAY") and persists even when CPT/HCPCS codes are present, we plan to proceed with the current SNOMED-based approach.
If there are any concerns with this direction, please let us know.
Regards,
Joe
