§ 170.315(h)(1) Send Direct Message v1.2 negative test scenarios show TIMEOUTs in Message Status page

Hi ETT team, I am currently experiencing a potential issue with my testing for the NEGATIVE test cases for § 170.315(h)(1) Send Direct Message v1.2, whereby I am not getting any reports generated to view, but it sits in "WAITING" status for a long time and then eventually shows "TIMEOUT".

Is this expected?

I am testing using  an address-bound certificate dns if that matters.
