Cures Update C-CDA R2.1 Validator tool is giving Conformance Error for 2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.22.5.6 Author Participation Template

Hi,

For the Note section at the activity (entry) level, we are using the 2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.22.5.6 Author Participation template. However, when we run the CCD document through the validator it's giving us the below error; it's expecting 2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.22.4.119

As per  Appendix C: Provenance - Author Participation we can use 2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.22.5.6 template at the CDA entry level. 

It would be great if someone can advise on this.

Hi - any update on this defect would be most helpful!  

Note that when both template IDs (.4.119 and .5.6) are included on the Author element, it does pass the validator.

(It's a workaround, but I am not sure it is an ideal workaround...)

With further review, it's apparently not a bug. It's a feature: 

Template ID x.4.119 is required on note activities as per the CCDA companion guide. That's why the validator throws an error when 4.119 is not present on the author in a note activity:

 1.   SHALL contain at least one [1..*] Author Participation (identifier: urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.22.4.119) (CONF:3250-16913).
