Error for "B1-> SMTP Test 8, 14, 18 (Send)"

Hello,
We are getting the following error when trying to validate SMTP Test 8, 14, 18 (Send) under B1:
ERROR: No messages found! Send a message and try again. Please make sure that the Vendor Email Address is entered and matches the email address from which the email is being sent. Wait for atleast 30 seconds after sending the email to ensure successful delivery to the ETT.

Can you confirm you are sending a SMTP email and not a direct email?

Hello Team, we have a long thread which is open from September  and we are still waiting for the resolution.

FYI. this test is not new and no change is how we execute the steps. same steps are being executed over 2-3 yrs.

The email we are using for this test is not a direct email, and a SMTP email.

Ashwin,

I don't see any email coming in from feisystems. Can you review logs on your end to make sure that the email was successfully delivered?

We have reviewed the logs on the SMTP server and do not see any login attempts associated with the specified account during the "SMTP Test 8, 14, 18 (Send)." Additionally, there is no record of the email in the Sent folder.

However, we were able to find logs for the "SMTP Test 9, 16, 20 (Receive)" and confirmed the email is present in both the Sent and Inbox folders.

For SMTP Test 8, 14, 18 (Send), you need to send an email to wellf...@ett.healthit.gov.

Can you confirm that you sent the email?

The test is now passing!

We were not actually sending the email. I had misunderstood how the test works and expected the test tool to send the email through our SMTP server and verify that it was received by wellf...@ett.healthit.gov. Thank you for clarifying this.
