I am currently working on the development of an EHR website for the US healthcare system. As part of this project, I would like to outline the step-by-step approach for implementing the Care Plan module in alignment with ONC Health IT Certification requirements.

Step 1: Review ONC Certification Criteria
First, review the applicable ONC certification criteria related to Care Planning, including patient goals, problems, medications, allergies, procedures, and interventions. Ensure alignment with the latest USCDI requirements.

Step 2: Define Care Plan Data Elements

Step 6: Security and Audit Controls
Apply appropriate security measures, role-based access, and audit logs to protect care plan data and meet ONC security and privacy requirements.

Step 7: Testing and Certification Validation
Perform functional testing, scenario-based testing, and documentation review to validate that the Care Plan module meets ONC certification criteria before submission.

Following this structured approach will help ensure that the Care Plan module is compliant and ready for ONC certification testing.
