This is my first Government Shutdown. I think it's safe to say, you don't know what you have until it's gone, right? Or at least in this case, you don't know what you have until it's inaccessible.

I miss being able to view the USCDIv3/USCDIv3.1 PDFs and the additional helpful links on that same page.

I miss being able to read the latest technical outcomes from the CCGs (Certification Companion Guides).

I hope the ETT Google Group aka ASTP / ONC Team will be proud of our ability to come together as a Community and continue to ask questions and provide support, despite the circumstances.

I'm from the world of Microsoft Windows vs the world of Linux, I gave up on exploring the Java programming language in favor of C# / Powershell and I postponed learning docker's capabilities for a long time. Now, these are the exact tools needed to understand and set up these very helpful, open-source validation tools. 

With enough time, questions and persistence, I'm actually getting success with setting up these open-source validators locally but the troubleshooting needed when the provided setup steps don't work as expected is immeasurably tough!! 

This just exponentially increases my respect for those who came before us and those continuing the work to this day.

I'll continue to learn from others who are here to teach and I'll continue to teach to those who are in the same spot that I once was. Sending positivity and motivation to those with a timeline and a goal.
