Jane Clarkson and Happy Kid are born in 2018 and while their scenarios involve collecting vitals on the date of their encounters (2020) our software includes Weight-for-Length Percentile based on the patient's age at the time of the vitals' actual documentation. Because the CDC doesn't keep WFL data for patients over 5, we exclude patients over 6 years old when the weight/length vitals were documented.

We need to update and rebuild our patients periodically so that our certification build remains up to date, which means that now we do not send WFL for our pediatric patients and the validator returns an error pointing this out.

Can we update the test data so that pediatric patients' date of birth remains reasonably realistic with the current date?

Different vendors prefer different approaches. Since vendors are allowed to test data and work with their ATL's to get certified, we recommend using data that seems appropriate for your scenario after discussing with your ATL.
We will look into seeing if the dates can be updated once every year after discussion with ASTP leadership

Thanks
