HL7 Resolution on CUBS

Can someone put this in lamens terms for me? Does this mean that trying to code for CUBS for Disability Status will no longer be a required test scenario? The nature of our business allows for other surveys that better suit our patient demographic and trying to code specifically for CUBS is a nightmare...

HL7 Structured Documents approved a 'patch' to allow a more generic 101720-1 Disability Status LOINC code. This patch means HL7 considers it valid to use 101720-1 immediately.

Nagesh will have to comment when/if this will be allowed in the validator.

We will add this code to the upcoming validator release in September.
