SMTP Test 8, 14, 18 (Send) time out error

 we are running  into below error for SMTP Send scenario and blocking our Quarterly Attestation. Could you take a look ?

SMTP Test 8, 14, 18 (Send) :ERROR: Cannot fetch email from :Couldn't connect to host, port: james.healthit.gov, 143; timeout -1

Hello Team, we are seeing new error now

Test Logs
ERROR: No messages found! Send a message and try again. Please make sure that the Vendor Email Address is entered and matches the email address from which the email is being sent. Wait for atleast 30 seconds after sending the email to ensure successful delivery to the ETT.

Tried 3-4 times with 5 mins gap but still seeing same error.

Hello Sai, 

We have been facing the same problem with B1-Send using Edge Protocol-SMTP from so long now, I have requested for the resolution of this in many group but its not fixed yet. Can you please see the attached image and help getting this fixed ASAP, i would highly apprecite it.

I just tried and it is working fine. Once you send the email, give couple of minutes to process and then validate.

Its still the same with FAILED status and same error message, i even waited for 10 mins. it didn't work.

I just tried and it is still not working. 

We sent the message to the address wellf...@ett.healthit.gov

Please note the Message-ID: <dd6551d91cc463bd...@direct.eval.md>. After 5 minutes, we ran the tool again, but still got the error as below:

Please search the message ID and let us know if it is in your logs.

Dear Sai, Can you please check into the server-side logs shared by Chloe and advise how we can get this issue fixed. I have tested it again this morning, and it's still showing as FAILED showing this message.

Any update on this issue? I just tested again and it still doesn't work. As the other thread suggested, the Delivery Notification Options are added into the messages but it doesn't show any difference. Please assist as soon as possible.

We are still receiving the same error message, which indicates a FAILED status. All of the screenshots have already been shared with you multiple times. 
I would appreciate it if someone from the ETT Dev Team could respond to this message and advise how we can get this error fixed.

You should be sending a non-direct email to SMTP Test 8, 14, 18 (Send). 

Also, please post what is the error in the logs that you are seeing on the tool.

when I tested yesterday it was saying no messages found and now it says "Test Logs

also nothing has changed how we are sending. this test has been running for past 3 yrs.

I have tried different files and all of them result in the same error.

The same SMTP server and credentials work for "SMTP Test 9, 16, 20 (Receive)"

Hello Edge Team,

We’ve received reports from a developer that the SMTP “Send” tests for B1 (Tests 8, 14, and 18) are consistently failing with the following error:

ERROR: No messages found! Send a message and try again. Please make sure that the Vendor Email Address is entered and matches the email address from which the email is being sent. Wait for at least 30 seconds after sending the email to ensure successful delivery to the ETT.

They’ve attempted multiple files and continue to receive the same result. Notably, the exact same SMTP server and credentials are working correctly for the “Receive” tests (SMTP Tests 9, 16, and 20).  

Given that this functionality is required for this developer to complete their testing, could you please investigate and provide guidance or a resolution?

Can you please open a new post with exact steps being executed including the emails used to test?

The tests do work. There could be a user error in which the right testing steps are not being followed.

We are happy to review testing steps and guide as needed.
