'Sender SUT test data & Receiver SUT test data' for 170.315(b)(2)

Hello ETT team,

We are new to this tool and are working on implementing §170.315(b)(2) Clinical Information Reconciliation criteria. As per the test procedure, the system should allow the users to perform 'Clinical Information Reconciliation' process upon receiving the CCDA R1.1 & R2.1 documents from the external source. 

For the test data, we need to use ETT: Message Validators
170.315_b2_ciri_r11_sample*.xml (All Samples)
170.315_b2_ciri_r21_sample*.xml (All Samples)

Q) When trying to understand the ETT tool, we identified that test data is available in both 'Sender SUT test data & Receiver SUT test data'. We did not understand the exact meanings for 'Sender SUT test data & Receiver SUT test data'. We were confused whether we need to use either 'Sender SUT test data' or 'Receiver SUT test data'. Is there a correlation between Sender SUT test data & Receiver SUT test data?

Can someone please explain.

The tests are referenced from a perspective of “Your system as”.  Sender System Under Test (SUT) sends to the ETT and Receiver System Under Test receives from the ETT.

 

E.g. Using HISP Testing & Delivery Notification, SMTP Test Cases, selecting Your system as Sender, you are sending a message to the Edge Test Tool as the Sending SUT.
