Hi ETT Support team,
Please advise.

Test Case b1.TOC -CCD validation.

For  Happy Kid  and Jeremy Bates we ahve implemented SNOMED codes are now passing the cases.

But for patient David Hollow we are getting error as it is expecting Asked But Declined (ASKU) .
Is this (Asked But Declined) a mandatory option and part of standard value sets for Birth Sex observation ?
This is not part of standards specified for a.5 Demographic criteria.

Hi ETT Team,
Please refer to following USCDIv3 standards for criteria TOC b.11 . In our EMR we support Female, Male ,Unknown with SNOMED codes.
'Asked but declined'  is not part of Patient Sex standards list for b.11 and a.5 criteria , still is it mandatory to support the same?.

ONC b.11 Test Procedure link and standards-https://www.healthit.gov/test-method/transitions-care

#1. § 170.207(n)(1) Birth sex must be coded in accordance with HL7® Version 3 Standard, Value Sets for AdministrativeGender and NullFlavor attributed as follows:

1.      Male. M

2.      Female. F

3.      Unknown. nullFlavor UNK (Adoption of this standard expires on January 1, 2026)

#2. § 170.207(n)(2) Sex must be coded in accordance with, at a minimum, the version of SNOMED CT® U.S. Edition codes specified in § 170.207(a)(1). (This standard is required by December 31, 2025)

Consistent with Executive Order (EO) 14168 and OPM guidance, Health IT Modules certifying and/or currently certified to certification criteria that cross-reference the USCDI standard at 45 CFR 170.213 are only required to demonstrate the capability to categorize data on individuals for the sex data element in accordance with the following SNOMED CT® codes:

248152002 |Female (finding)| and

248153007 |Male (finding)|

Thanks and regards,
-Bharati P.
