Hi Team,

We are validating CCDA data for the following patient medication entry and need clarification regarding the RxNorm code:

  • Patient: Myra Jones

  • Medication: 200 ACTUAT Albuterol 0.09 MG/ACTUAT Dry Powder Inhaler

  • RxNorm Code: 1649560 (currently showing as Inactivated)

Could you please confirm if there is a replacement or updated RxNorm code that we should use for this medication to ensure proper validation and compliance?

Regards,

Jyothi

Thank you for your prompt response.

We reviewed the suggested RxNorm code 745679; however, this concept is currently listed as Inactive, similar to the previously used code 1649560. It appears that both codes have been deprecated in recent RxNorm releases.

Could you please confirm which active RxNorm code should be used for this medication to support CCDA validation?

Regards,

Joe

Hi Team,

We would like to confirm the RxNorm code being used for CCDA validation.

The previously referenced RxNorm codes 1649560 and 745679 are currently listed as Inactive in recent RxNorm releases. For certification purposes, we are currently using RxNorm code 1649961 for this medication.

Could you please confirm whether RxNorm 1649961 is appropriate to use for CCDA validation, or advise if another active RxNorm code should be used instead?

Thank you for your guidance.

Best regards,

Joe
