Hello ETT Team,

Please help with below issues.

1. Below direct email message status report shows TIMEOUT Status for Signing Certificate: GOOD_CERT, Can you please guide what could be the reason to show TIMEOUT?  (Attached GOOD_CERT Message Status.png)
         Also attached validation report, shows the error “This validation report does not exists” instead of showing full report. (Attached GOOD_CERT Validation Report.png)

2. After sending direct message from x...@service2.directaddress.net mailbox to tes...@ett.healthit.gov, it sends validation report but giving same error for validation report “This validation report does not exists”.
                   Can you please help what could be the reason to throw this error instead for showing full validation report. (Attached  send a payload to tes...@ett.healthit.gov Validation Report.png)

Hi Ashok,

It usually times out when the SUT does not send back an MDN after the direct email is sent by ETT. You are not using the correct endpoint, can you try using direc...@ett.healthit.gov , instead of tes...@ett.healthit.gov?

Sai,

The tool uses a domain bound certificate so the local portion of the address should not matter as long as the correct domain is used. This appears to be an issue with the tool ability to receive/process the MDN that is sent back.

Hi ETT team, I am currently experiencing this similar issue with my testing for the NEGATIVE test cases, I am not getting any reports generated to view, but it sits in "WAITING" status for a long time and then eventually shows "TIMEOUT".
I am testing using  an address-bound certificate dns if that matters.

Hi,
Please post in a new thread for your issues. So that it's easy for us to track.

These are negative cases with invalid certs, hence you will not receive MDNs or validation reports.

It sounds like you're saying that "TIMEOUT" is expected for the negative test scenarios though?

Yes, that is correct. When using a bad cert the direct email will not reach the recipient and hence no MDNs are sent back. And you will see a timeout on the tool.
