Hi everyone--

I have started a Guideline for the Git workflow for contributing to the code
base:

I hope this is useful - but please feel free to propose improvements, or ask
if something is implausible or unclear.

It is a bit of a learning curve, I know, but after one or two iterations of
practising, one will become routined enough to manage.
