JioFi is a personal hotspot device by Reliance Jio that can provide internet up to 31 devices with good internet speed. When you buy the new JioFi device then most of the times it is on the older versions of the firmware. This can cause bad network and slow internet speed and hence a bad user experience.

Therefore, it is good for the health and performance of your device that you upgrade it to the latest JioFi firmware. However, the JioFi would not be updated automatically and you will have to update it yourself.
