I suspect it is a bug in EDA Playground (that the waveform dump file output by GHDL is incompatible with the EDA Playground waveform viewer). I would recommend using Aldec Riviera Pro instead. Your code works fine on that (in the sense that you can view waveforms). You don't need any special privileges to run Riviera Pro on EDA Playground.
