how to specify time window for waveform dump?

I am simulating VHDL testbench and design. But the waveform gets dumped for only 1 ns of time window. How do I specify a longer time window?

I get the message - "Warning: Only a single slice of data found. Did you specify valid 'From/To' times?"

This sounds to me like there's a more fundamental problem with your code. Have you got a URL so I can see it?
